Bringing About Change

Hello all,

I have just got back from appearing on daybreak after a 5 am start (ouch!)
I've been trying my best to keep you up to date with whatever information I can regarding the riots and trying to help myself by going into town and onto the high streets and sweeping.

It came to my attention that maybe there are some distorted views across the globe of what has been happening from a couple of opinions expressed on twitter that kind of broke my heart. Just want to state though that this is in no way a confrontational blog.

I heard them branded as "exciting"early this morning. I can verify that for most of the people that were not out rioting, it was absolutely not an exciting experience. It was depressing, sickening, worrying, it made us afraid, sad and angry. The looting was not an attack on big corporations and chain stores, it was mindless and violent. Yes people were breaking into those big companies stores but in the same breath destroying independent business and burning down peoples homes, not even worrying about the fact that people were still inside. People were beaten up and mugged, clothes stolen from their bodies. 3 people in birmingham were killed last night. There were working class people out in the streets destroying the homes and lives of other working class people. And different groups of working class people defending that the next night. There are clearly political issues underlying, there is clearly a massive number of people that are excluded from society, the questions I feel need to be addressed are "why and how are they excluded?" "why do they seemingly have no conscience or sympathy towards other human beings?"and "what can we do to change that?" We simply cannot ignore what has happened and although it is a positive thing to bring about change I just can't deal with the riots being praised and labelled exciting.

What is exciting to me and what really felt amazing yesterday was how many people were out in the streets yesterday, all day and night, people literally sweeping the streets, taking the broken glass out of windows, glueing wood to broken doors, talking to strangers, from all different types of class/race/gender and backgrounds. The atmosphere was positive and protective. And last night, communities and vigilante groups and shop keepers stayed out in crowds to defend their neighbourhoods.

Please research into your opinions before you condone this, many people have been hurt and will continue to suffer because of what has happened. Yes we must listen, I want to hear ideas of what we can do to prevent this from ever happening again, I want to help, I want to get into my community and local schools and see what we can actually physically do day by day to help this change. And I will protest against government policies and injustices that exclude anyone from society, but I do not want to physically hurt an innocent person, burn a building down or destroy someone's livelihood in the process.

I've been waking up these days super late, which up until the last 6 months has been my usual habits for the last 24 years (Actually take off maybe 7 from those cause I used to be able to wake up at like 6 every morning to eat breadsticks and watch cartoons with my sisters when I was a very small person)

Anyway I've been doing a load of festivals in Europe which has been coooool but it has meant like 5 in the morning starts for early flights and then late nights after shows which if you can add up my friends equals no sleep! Therefore I have been waking up like a human sized slab of stone has hit me every morning this week and doing nothing else but listening to music, hanging out with fluffy and going to my rehearsal room (that looks like wayne's world and has a dog called peach) to write.

(Wrote that yesterday, then got distracted by stroking fluffy and then I was late to meet a friend so had to rush out of bed)

Anyway same kind of vibes apart from with new news. Yesterday I did an interview with the amazing Rebekah Roy for The Industry. And I was kind of scared because the fashion world has really scared me in the past, being a feminist and someone who promotes a healthy body image and tries to challenge the mainstream ideals of what 'beauty' is (i.e everyone that is nice is beautiful) for girls and boys of the world, I've found it hard to know where I fit in in the fashion planet, I mean I love clothes and my version of "fashion" ...

but the business scares me! Anyway I have discovered it's just like any industry, you find your own pockets and world within it if you want, people that you think are cool, stuff that you like, and you just enjoy that. Then you challenge what you disagree with about it if you think it's necessary and might change the world for the better or help someone.

It's cool being interviewed by a friend, you get to speak about things that you care about and I remember getting hot in the open q&a section because I was talking so passionately about something!

After that I went to watch DUD, TURBOGUEIST AND SHUGA (EMMA CHITTY'S NEW PROJECT) for a "swamp session" night. You can buy the e.p here (I ordered the e.p last night, paid. wrote my name, email and address on some card that was at the table that said 'order record here' and then Jon took it home as a poster to put on his wall so I may have to order it again.)

Emma was fucking amazing and if you can see one of her shows then please do, she is fucking awesome. The woman hasn't even been playing bass for very long and she fucking owns the instrument, her voice/lyrics/songs will blow ya mind! Haven't felt so inspired/excited by new music since Brigitte Aphrodite 2 years ago. Nice to get that feeling again.

So I miss going to school, I miss all my friends in all the schools. Not as in me being at actual school, good god I do not want to go back there, I mean doing the after school clubs! The cool rock n roll chicks that make music. When I worked at nandos they had t-shirts with cool slogans on like 'hot chicks' or something, whilst working there I spent most of my day staring into space (the high street in harrow) putting nata cakes in the microwave and eating them and sitting in the walk in fridge to cool down. I really love walk in fridges, they still impress me for some reason, it's because of tomb raider, I used to stay in the training house and lock geeves in the big freezer and avoid playing the actual game because the tiger would always kill me or I would drown? I hope to one day have giant walk in fridge.

Here's 2 things
1 the new lynx advert, are they actually selling women now? giving them away as a prize? is this some kind of sex trading deodorant company?

2 is watching an episode of sex in the city recently (?why?) I was confused when Carrie Bradshaw compared the war between married couples and singles (war?) to THE WAR IN NORTHERN IRELAND! Fucking hell, who wrote that line in the script? and who didn't edit it out?

I will leave you with the moldy peaches in a moment, but first I just want to try and encourage whoever I can to stop using the word UGLY when talking about someones looks. I only use it when talking about a person if someone has an ugly personality or has done something really ugly. Like for example last night I was walking home and there was this seriously drunk dude trying to get cash out of the cash machine at like 3 am. I was waiting behind him because it's the only cash point in the area and he kept telling me to go away, I could see that he was trying to get out £200 and his card kept getting rejected, he was so drunk that when his card came out of the machine that's when he would start pressing the buttons and telling me there was something wrong with it. I tried to help and he kept telling me angrily to fuck off (and he was built like some kind of steroid injecting rugby player) I really needed to get cash so I didn't and then when he finally realised he didn't have £200 in his account and he gave up he offered to hold my chips while I got cash out (and when I say offered I mean shouted at me) I don't know why he thought I wouldn't be able to hold them myself while I got cash out. I said no thank you and he told me to go fuck myself. That dude was U-G-L-Y-!

Firstly thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me on the walk for michael sobell house, in total everyone on the walk made a total of around £48,000!

This is me and my dad, he was one of the men chaperoning the 'ladies of the night' walk. We made him wear this predator on a hen night esque head piece.

I wore this flashing ring for safety purposes obviously.

Today I went for lunch at Franze & Evans on Redchurch Street. It was so delicious!! I would strongly recommend going there. The lady bakes all these amazing cakes herself and makes fresh tasty salads, they make cake out of polenta too so it's good for the wheat free brady bunch.

I really want the lovely lady baker to be my wife. She would bake me such delicious treats and I could nuzzle into her by the fire.

I also met this cat in a lovely little shop called Caravan also on Redchurch street

So I got a new night light

Fluffy was chewing the tissue paper it was wrapped in all day and she had made several attempts to drag it into her cage throughout the day, so when I saw this I thought it was normal...

It turns out there was actually a little piece of selotape accidentally left on the paper that had stuck to her ear! Poor fluffy. So cute though. She's free of tissue paper and selotape now though so don't worry.

Couple of last things, I went into rough trade (initally to buy polarloid film cause I'd just bought a "talking polaroid" camera, yes talking! you can record little messages for when you pull the trigger, so damn 80's) anyway I always end up buying too many records when I'm in there because I get over excited, 2 I would recommend are the new Comet Gain (Ryan produced a bunch of tracks on this one) and the debut from a friend of mine Hollie Cook I'm really excited to hear it.

Lastly to wrap up a lovely day I did an impromptu gig with badger an old friend of mine in spitalfields market

ROMANCE & Walk for Charity

Tomorrow night I am djing after the ROMANCE gig at Heroes Bar (formerly the flower pot) in Kentish Town, address is 147 Kentish Town Road. It's a Fiction Family affair, (they just signed to fiction recently, check them out)

Then the day after (Friday!) I am doing a 9 mile walk overnight for the charity that is Michael Sobell House Hospice, you can sponsor me and help raise money for charity HERE (www.justgiving.com/Kate-Nash-Potato)

The hospice does amazing work and helps support people with life limiting diseases and relies a lot on fundraising to keep going so it is very important, it would be great to get all the help I can raising money! Went in the studio yesterday to record a song for NARDWUAR, we recorded a canadian punk song called 'My Chinchilla' by Cub. It was so fun! I also realised that I haven't been in the studio for 2 whole years!! crazy. I loved it, it was so fun being able to record something just for fun with no added pressure of thinking that you have to do a whole campaign and plan a release afterwards. Thanks to my chinchilla's below and underneath that I've posted my interview with Nardwuar from a couple of years ago incase you haven't seen him in action before, he's pretty great, doot doot! P.S help, insomnia. oh and i friggin loved scream 4 or should I say scre4m.

2 things, one I met one of my heroes, Steve Diggle, he gave me a plectrum (superfan!!) and we hung out and watched the cribs together. The Buzzcocks were the band that turned me onto punk and that turned me onto writing the songs I started writing when I was 17, the songs I wrote for Made of Bricks, My Best Friend Is You, all the b-sides and everything really. Understanding that I didn't have to be a "Shakespeare" of songwriting to be smart and considerate, that I didn't have to pretend to be something that I'm not. I could be myself and write about what I knew, my friends, my town, my opinion, my experience of love and life no matter how big or small, interesting or glamorous it may or not be, it's still important and there's actually a lot of beauty in the mundane. It turns out the ordinary is quite extraordinary. I love kitchen sink drama. So thanks for that Diggle, it's just as relevant a message, if not more and certainly more important to me now that I'm going around schools doing workshops and classes with kids, trying to encourage them to be themselves and helping them realise that they are interesting people no matter how much the media tries to tell them they're not followed up by a marketing company trying to sell them something quick to make them feel better about not being interesting/cool/pretty/thin/rich/sexy/exciting enough.

The Second thing is that my boyfriend is cool. The Cribs were amazing in Coventry and at Friends of Mine Festival. I am continuously blown away by their live show, their guts and bravery and passion. They're such an exciting band and an extremely important one. Not only is their music totally fucking awesome but they actually stand for something, which so few artists do these days. They have dignity and they speak out against discrimination or for a worthy cause. Most bands are too busy trying to sell themselves as a product, either literally in an advert or as some kind of model of "cool", which is funny because it's so try hard that it instantly has the opposite affect on me personally, I'm completely turned off by that kind of sell. The Cribs are effortlessly cool because all their hard work goes into making great music, giving everything they've got in a guaranteed raw & explosive live performance, considering every artistic element of anything they ever put out and having an opinion. The best live act I've ever seen. I don't care if you think I'm biased I'm just happy and proud.

School Life = Real Life

Dropped all my papers in school today! Doh!

School never changes. And when you grow up people don't change either. The way that I deal with the media and internet and hearing the opinions of thousands of people on me personally and the music and art I create is by seeing it like school. Some people don't like you, some people give you shit, some people are your friends, some people support you, some people smile at you in a corridor even if you don't know them. Life is just like school but on a much bigger scale. I know if you go to school and you hate it then that sounds like a scary thing and like a bit of a drag. I mean obviously you have more freedom, you don't have to call someone miss or ask if you can go to the loo, but people don't really change do they? I see it in my mum's life, my sisters and friends, with the people they know and meet. The way people interact with each other is the same.

It's different and more fun if you're open minded and can surround yourself with open minded people. Life will be pretty interesting, if you're not open minded and can't surround yourself with people that are you'll be afraid and probably horrible to people that are different to you. It's OK to be scared of things, I am, everyday, but I try to learn from new things and let them intrigue or excite me. I'm aware that you can't just have tunnel vision and we all have something different to offer. I want to challenge myself even when I feel like curling into a ball. I'm glad my parents brought me up to treat people equally and that bullying was bad and something to be ashamed of, to be open minded and to read and travel and that they challenged all my opinions. It's really helped, thanks mum and dad.

I'm on my 4th day of doing the after school clubs & I can't quite find the right word to describe how I'm feeling. Inspired, emotional, like this is really important, love for these girls, happy that we're able to work together & create a safe environment for each other where no-one is judging anybody. They applaud each other after sharing their personal private thoughts & feelings. Missing dogs, being bullied, being annoyed with over protective brothers, loving parents, hating them. So many different important lives. All they need is encouragement & support. One girl spoke to me about the band she's in, she's super cool, plays bass in a screamo band & drums on the side, super talented. She tries to share her lyrics & sing in her band but gets laughed at! Makes me mad/sad. She's bringing her lyric book to the next club. All she needs is someone to say 'yeah you should' 'you can' 'you're cool'. Because she is cool & she can express herself however she wants. She's just sharing it with the wrong people at the moment. I can't wait to hear her songs. Another girl told me how she was being bullied & called a lesbian for having short hair, I told her how ridiculous it was to be made fun of and bullied for being a lesbian anyway, you can't make fun of someone's sexuality, people can be whoever they want & love whoever they fall in love with, or have sex with who you feel attracted to, and secondly you can't stereotype someone, being gay doesn't mean you look a certain way or have a certain haircut or dress sense.

They're all so strong yet soft. Girls are so amazing, I don't get sexism, I just don't understand.

Tomorrow is the first official rock n roll for girls after school music club.
So excited! And nervous, but I passionately believe in this project. Up until this point I have only done presentations in the schools and introduced the idea so tomorrow is an important day. I know that there are girls out there that aren't doing what they want to be doing because they don't feel entitled and they are insecure about how they look! I've spoken to them. This sucks, they are cool and should be having fun and feeling good and making music.

Tomorrow that's what we're gonna do! Yeahhhhhhhhh.

I hate when you lose a favourite t-shirt and have no idea where it went. My homer simpson t-shirt and nirvana one?? where did you go? in an airing cupboard squished right at the back on the floor under some towels along with all my other odd sock pairs probably.

To make up for the long lost tees, I am currently enjoying wearing my new buffy and angel necklace that i got froma nice shop on etsy. so so good. Buffy you were my actual best friend and feminist hero in school, I will love you now and forever.

Boat Feet

When I was in year 6 Stephen Raywood spat on my shoe. It was a dr.martin which at the time sucked for me because I wanted to wear pretty shiny shoes like the other girls but my feet were too big (big boat feet as they became known to my friends/bullies) The good news is now I like dr. martins. :) !!

Catfish, A Life In Our Heads

There's an early episode of friends where Chandler is dating a girl "online". They've never met and it turns out that she's married and he decides he doesn't want to meet her anymore. At the time the episode was made I guess the internet wasn't the lifestyle choice it is today and he was teased a lot by the other 'friends' for attempting to date online.

Last night I watched a documentary called catfish.

Some friends decide to make a documentary about a unique relationship that is formed between a photographer Nev and a young girl called abby who paints his photos. They form a friendship online and swap photos and paintings back and forth. Nev speaks to abby's mother and sister and forms facebook relationships with various members of her family and friends. Chemistry builds between Nev and Megan abby's older sister and Nev decides he wants to meet her. When he goes to meet her he discovers something quite unexpected.

I really liked the documentary, it really takes you with the film makers on this crazy journey. It's like a trip towards something that you've probably already realised isn't true but because you fell in love with the fantasy you keep searching for it. At first Nev's naivety surprised me, he was like a teenage boy, their relationship existed purely via the phone or on the internet and he was really getting involved with and craving after a girl he'd never met and lived thousands of miles away from.

It reminded me of my first "boyfriend" someone I agreed to "go out with" via someone else's text message after meeting at the North Harrow Megabowl with a bunch of friends. He'd picked me and another girl but because I was the introducers friend I got first dibs. We never even kissed. He would send me texts about wanting to hang out when his parents were out and I would freak out and call my friends and have girly giggly fits. He was my boyfriend and when he called me a bitch and we "split up" and hung out with my frenemies instead I was pissed, but why? we had no relationship. We didn't know each other, I never went to his house, we didn't hold hands, kiss, or go on dates because we never actually met up. The first time we met was our only date and then a few months later after texting religiously every night he dumped me. The excitement of the relationship was that it was all in my head. I could create whatever I wanted in my mind and live it out via a daydream without actually having to deal with my nerves of actually seeing the guy or the reality that he wasn't all that interesting.

I put it down to being a kid and being bored, searching for something and being inventive. And without ruining the documentary what Nev discovers is quite shocking as a viewer, and I guess what she's invented is put down to this woman's sadness and mental health. But nowadays is this dreamworld becoming more of a normal reality that's not just for bored kids or people with problems but for real life adults and sane grown ups? Meeting people and dating online is no longer for the weirdos and loners, everyone does it and hey if it makes it easier for people to find each other and in turn some happiness then I'm all for it. There's something about the intensity of the way people live through facebook or twitter though that doesn't sit quite right with me, I guess I'm old fashioned, everything in moderation etc. So much time is spent updating profiles to show everyone how cool and wonderful our life is. We share tit-bits of information about what we've been doing constantly and get comfort from being able to communicate with everyone at all hours of the day or night. You never feel like you're alone in the world. But sometimes it gets a little too cyberspace for me, for example I stopped following a friend on twitter recently because even though I hadn't seen her for months I was bored every time we spoke on the phone because there wasn't anything I didn't know about what had been going on in her life from her twitter feed. That's the other thing, phrases like "Twitter Feed" make sense to us ????? You even hear it on the news!

When I was at college a friend signed me up to 'Friendstar' one of the original social networking sites. He made my profile and put up pictures and told me to talk to people I didn't know on there and make friends. I was so confused, "What is the point?" I asked, "It's just fun, just talk to people" "Yeah but what is the actual point?" I was genuinely baffled by the concept. About 2 years ago I remember a friend telling me how his "ex girlfriend" had finally updated her Facebook status to single. It was a real blow. At the time I wasn't on facebook and didn't really understand what he meant, but what I did understand was that this was a serious thing in people's lives now. I guess it's a lot easier to live out your life and organise it on a computer, you can make it look pretty. I wonder how obvious the different skills that younger generations develop will seem. Kids will be genius's I guess. Is running around in a garden playing imaginary games any different to creating an imaginary life on facebook or a blog? Apart from the obvious exercise, I wonder if it stimulates your brain any differently?

On that note better put down the laptop, get in the shower and unlock the front door (16.42) Or at least open a window.

Me and my sisters and cousin took my nan to the ritz yesterday for afternoon tea, it was pretty fancy and so delicious. We stuffed ourselves on cute finger sandwiches, warm scones with CLOTTED!! cream, my favourite kind of cream and seeing as I'm basically allergic to wheat and dairy I don't let myself indulge in cream and scones that often. Then we drank cocktails in the rivoli bar. The lychee martini was my favourite. I had a lychee martini in istanbul recently too, I think it's my new drink. There's something very classy about ordering a martini and a lychee one comes with the bonus of being sweet too!

After that, I stopped off at Sister Ray Records to buy a vinyl in support of record store day with clare, pretty much everything had sold out! Which was annoying cause I obviously missed out on hormoaning! but also great because it made me happy that people are interested in buying records.

I bought 'Virtual Boyfriend' by Poly Styrene which seemed appropriate seeing as Ryan is away and I was away before that and him before that and me before that etcetcetc.

There's so much annoying crap graffiti but the simplicity of this really pleased me. whoever is called mon and is goin out with jon that is awesome. I am so happy you are called mon and you love someone called jon. Mon is one of my all time favourite names. you're lucky you found someone that rhymes with you!

I'm suffering from insomnia and anxiety at the moment but this is really helping once i actually manage to crawl into bed.

It's cherry active extract, apparently it's good for sore joints but seems to knock you out too, and unlike booze/sleeping pills it doesn't give you hangover/drowsiness the next day. Get it here

I had physio today, I've hurt my knees and ankles from jumping around too much, well that's what I thought. But it turns out my hip joints aren't strong enough. My hip joints have always clicked in and out of their socket and my feet and arms are double jointed, these things that used to be my party tricks are actually turning out to really hurt after years of touring. Emma Chitty of THRUSH METAL fame played the last few shows with us, debuting her new solo project 'SUGAR'. It was really really awesome, she writes songs on a bass guitar and had Luis from TURBOGEIST playing guitar with her. The songs felt so honest and the music and melodies really beautiful. Her voice had a Patti Smith feel to it. I loved it, check it out if you get the chance.

The dressing room in Newcastle was pretty gross, lots of cock/cum/blood graffiti everywhere so I covered it up cause it was putting me off my food.

The drive from Newcastle to Carlisle was lovely, beautiful british countryside, you kind of forget how nice it can be here...

We stopped off to look at some lambs, so friggin cute! They made me this happy...

Brighton at the weekend was lots of fun. found a gluten free wheat free dairy free pizza for dinner from a place called pizzaface that might sound gross because it lacks basically the main ingredients for a pizza but was actually really good! Show was awesome too, felt like the dvd went down really well and people actually understood what I was talking about, encouraging female writers, not caring about the "perfect image" etc.

In Reading Bri's single finally arrived! It's pretty magical, have 10p's first ever single release and bri's first ever vinyl. So cool. I did a bit of a n r and bought some moet for the opening of the cardboard box they came in. We all felt pretty proud.

Next show was bath. I haven't been to Bath since I was a little kid and I had totally forgotten how lovely it is. So picturesque and lots of nice shops. I went to cath kitson and bought a mothers day present and card, wrapped it and popped it in the post. job done. Found Jamie's Italian Restaurant! Was very excited about this as I am a big Jamie Oliver fan and have been watching his American Food Revolution Show at home recently. It was delicious. Food was great, and service and it's so nice inside, the decor and all the displays of fresh bread, meats, cheeses, tomatoes, olive oil etc. everywhere you look. YUM

Happy 80th Birthday Nan!

Today was a day off from tour but a day well spent with my family in Kent. It was my Nan's 80th birthday! Wow. I can't actually believe she is 80, it really doesn't seem like it. Another Wow goes to the fact it is also my nan and grandad's wedding anniversary. They got married on her birthday and this year is their 58th year together. 58 years of marriage is pretty incredible, so inspiring and romantic.

So back to the tour and my after-school girls project. Every time I go into schools I still get the urge to set the fire alarms off. gah it just really makes me itch! but don't worry head teachers I will refrain. This is my serious walk to the assembly hall, it actually makes me very nervous marching into the assembly hall.

Interviewing the girls for my documentary...

One of the saddest things I heard from the girls in this school was that she was already thinking of giving up on music, at the age of 16, she felt that being a female and not one that would sell her body to sell her music, that there was no way she would have a chance as a musician. She seemed really shy and sad about what she was saying. I found her after the talk and told her that I want to ask her what she thinks about being a musician after she's played her first show. The girls I'm meeting in these schools are the next generation of the music world. They should be being encouraged and nurtured not the opposite. Another thing that I found myself thinking about is the fact that women have a reputation for being bitchy. I have been in 3 all girls schools in the past couple of months and I have been welcomed and watched the girls support and be warm to each other. Women are not inherently bitchy, we are told that we are by the rest of the world and we're constantly being picked on for the way we look so we get insecure and then have our backs up towards other girls incase they judge us. We have to try and dispel this bullshit myth. Girls can be warm and friendly and supportive to each other when they're comfortable and feeling good about themselves.

Nottingham & Launch of Rock n Roll Clubs for Girls!

Woke up yesterday and listened to Dum Dum Girls which made me really happy then walked outside and felt even better because it was such a beautiful day! Really feels like spring is on its way.

This tour is making me feel so nostalgic for the old days, I can't believe it was so long ago that I came to all these little venues with the first record.

The gig in nottingham was amazing, i really felt like i lost myself in it. I also pretended that ryan came to the show and that made me enjoy it more. my girls rocked and we partied hard cause we deserved it!

Today I launched 'Kate Nash's Rock N Roll For Girls After-School Club' in Bournemouth!

I'm learning quickly that the main reason there's such a gender gap in the music industry is because of self esteem issues, the image that the media portrays as perfection makes a lot of young girls feel ugly and that is the main reason they feel like they can't share and play music and put it out there. this is awful. I cannot wait to dispel that myth and a) show these girls that they are beautiful! and b) they can stand up and be proud musicians and lyricists.

I'm really looking forward to coming back and starting the clubs. Thanks Bournemouth. x

Start of tour! Stoke on trent, haven't been to the sugarmill in stoke for about 4 years and people showed their love, affection and excitement by basically crowd surfing in every song. Even I hate seagulls, I didn't really know what to do with myself. Thanks Stoke! You were cool. I met a girl after the show who had the most beautiful blue/green hair I've ever seen, she looked like a mermaid princess.

Zac from Bri's band was upset that Helen hasn't joined the tour yet. (She arrives on tuesday after she's checked out a college open day that she's interested in going to) He had spent all day picking the perfect parts of Harry Potter to read to her to try and get her to like it. Even though I don't think it will work it was a nice effort. Come on Helen!

Really enjoying wearing my new shoes and white socks and feeling as though I am in Ghost World.

Also found an amazing twilight t-shirt last time I was in LA so enjoying wearing that too and feeling like a bit of a victim. Kristen Stewart really does it for me. Girl Crush.

Missing my boyfriend so took some pleasure in finding these old school cribs stickers plastered around the venue.

Now sitting in a messy dressing room and looking forward to playing in a venue that again I haven't been to for 4 years. Gonna go Soundcheck with my lovely ladies...
